Pre-Apprenticeship
The Hawaii Regional Council of Carpenters’ (HRCC) Pre-Apprenticeship gives you the chance to try out a trade before committing to a program. Join the HRCC for a week of hands-on training at our state-of-the-art facilities in Kapolei to learn trade and safety basics.
Program Benefits
Get Trained
Learn trade basics, get certified in Fall Protection, and earn your First Aid and OSHA-10 certifications.
Get Paid
Spend 4 paid weeks working on active construction sites to gain industry experience.
Get Credit
Gain direct entry to HCATF apprenticeships, with hours credited from your pre-apprenticeship.
Basics
- You’re at least 17 years of age or older
- You can complete a group interview
Physical Demands
- You’re able to lift 75 – 100 lbs.
- You’re able to perform the essential duties of the trade
Paperwork
- You’re able to legally work in the U.S.
- You have a legal photo I.D. (driver’s license, passport etc.)
