As a part of the application process, apprentice candidates must pass a Math Assessment with 76% or higher. The Math Assessment must be completed without the use of a calculator or any other aid.
We encourage all applicants to review basic whole number arithmetic, fractions, decimals and feet/inches arithmetic. It is highly recommended that applicants attempt the practice math tests below at least one month prior to applying in case you need additional practice or a refresher course.
Once again, you will not be able to use a calculator for the Math Assessment, so be sure to practice manual calculation!
Applicants may search online for additional math review courses, such as Khan Academy. Below are links to some of their lessons:
- Basic Arithmetic (Addition and subtraction)
- Basic Arithmetic (Multiplication and division)
- Fractions Arithmetic
- Decimals Arithmetic
- Convert feet to inche
- Adding Feet with Inches
- Subtracting Feet with Inches
